Smart Money Websites - The Copywriting Sausage Sizzled

Having spent a great deal of time spying stealthily online, constantly being bombarded with weak and altogether incipient copy from average writers you can imagine my surprise when I was swayed into a business-in-a-box solution for affiliate marketing aspirations.
In my capacity as a business coach outside of the online community I have to tell you that great copywriting really annoys me. Seriously folks, I mean it. In fact I'm certain that there's another article swirling around in my head with a title like "The 10 Things I Hate about Compelling Ad Copy". You'll have to stay tuned for that one...Watch this space.
The reason I decided to purchase my business-in-a-box and join the tens or hundreds of thousands of affiliate marketers attempting to eek out a living in a burgeoning market was, like most people, I was fed up with the rat race. That's why I looked...and waited...biding my time until a so-called money machine business would tap me on the shoulder with a revelatory smile saying something akin to "you've come home", or "at least we've found each other".
Smart Money Websites achieved this. They did so ...
... via some important copywriting techniques. You see, generally what makes me mad about great copywriting is simple. It leads me. It brings out my impulses and guides me to where the writer wishes to take me. Like I said, Smart Money Websites achieved this so that even though I may not have been ready to make a purchase, their copy was just too good.
You've seen how good it is in fiction. It draws you in and makes the story more enjoyable. When good copywriters do the same, the conclusion of the work invariable involves me spending my hard earned money and I generally don't like doing that! Don't forget, as a marketer and coach outside of the cyber community I like to be in control of the writing and often feel fooled when this type to thing happens - me spending money on something that I might not need.
Funnily enough, when I recovered from my initial chagrin I didn't, for a moment, suffer 'buyer's remorse' or equivalent. That's a good sign.
In many ways, great copywriting can make me feel out of control. Out of my comfort zone. It should do the same for you. I'm educated in the art well enough to see what they are doing, yet the masters can still guide me where they will -just like Smart Money Website did. Lucky the product represented quality. So, combine quality merchandise with quality copywriting and you can't go wrong.
Enough of me "complaining" about being sucked in to the business-in-a-box purchase. I'm not really complaining because the product I bought was a fraction of its market value and I wanted to show you that even the leaders can be lead sometimes.
If you have a look at the Smart Money Websites advertising (this article or other emails and sporadic search engine pages) you should agree that the power of great copywriting down to two things.
CURIOSITY
For human beings the desire to know is a powerful force often stronger than we give credit to. Unfortunately that has led to the word 'secrets' being WAY over used especially when it comes to the promotion of affiliate programs. Humans want to know. Think about this and apply to what you do... if you've got something good and you know how to taunt with it, you can make the sale.
However crude that last statement, it remains the truth. Great copywriting is more or less taunting. However, and this is important, it's taunting that offers a solution. Let's not forget that even though I wasn't directly in the market I was looking. Then suddenly Smart Money Websites offered me a solution - so compelling was the solution that I had to buy.
What exactly was the solution? I had a need to get into affiliate marketing. I was being constantly sold to by unscrupulous marketers that couldn't write copy. Their copy didn't rouse a curiosity in me.
So how does Smart Money Websites assess the quality of their copywriting? Two ways: When people purchase and when people stick around. Studies show that the longer a person remains on your website and the more scrolling and page turning they do the more likely they will make a purchase. That's why most affiliate marketing websites have "action" buttons and links that send the consumer to another site or has them filling in a form. That's what the copywriter is looking for. The solution can only be accessed, however, when the reader takes action. The action is either a purchase, a click to another web site, filling in a form, or whatever the copywriter is looking for.
When you are writing copy, it's important to first define the action you want people to take at the conclusion of your words. Defining the action you want them to take guides you in your writing.
When you are using curiosity as a motivator, hint at the information your solution will provide the reader once they take the action you desire. Give tantalizing bits of information that will allow them to begin to see what you are driving at. Importantly you must save the majority of information, or what will tie all your bits of info together, for after you get the consumer to take action.
Tell them what they will know after they access your solution and create enough desire to know that they themselves will overcome any objections they may have. Smart Money Websites removed the risk associated with purchasing affiliate marketing programs online by offering me a two week trial for $1.00. That's a winning combination.
