Parquet floors first came into being way back in the 1600s, and since then this decorative and geometric mosaic of wood pieces have been used in every household to give a different ambience to the homes.
The block patterns used on the floors can come in different geometric shapes like-squares, rectangles and even triangles. Adding parquetry to your homes can lend a rustic yet warm feeling to the ambience.
Parquet flooring looks good when it is new, but once it ages, it starts to lose its sheen and color. Regular dusting and mopping work, but if you have vacuumed the floor, then there are chances that the floor will end up with more dents and scratches.

The only way to keep your parquet looking clean and new for a longer time is Sanding Parquet. Sanding is a process which involves rubbing of sand paper all over the surface to remove the scratches and dents and in a way to remove the top layer which has become dirty and uneven after years of use. Sanding will remove this layer and end up giving a sleeker, ...
... shinier and more even look to the floor.

Parquet floors are also preferred by many home owners because they do not require much maintenance and are pretty durable. They remain in the same condition for years together provided you allow Sanding floorboards periodically to maintain its luster and sleekness.

The preference of parquet floors is also because in colder countries, they tend to make the rooms warmer, but one disadvantage associated with parquet is that it will end up magnifying all the noises like walking, which some people may find a little disturbing.

Floorboard Sanding requires a certain level of precision and sometimes getting a professional to do the job would be a much better choice. You can do it yourself too, but the process will be tedious, messy and there wouldn’t be perfection in it. Thus, hiring a professional will ensure that your sanding process is done in a jiffy and you wouldn’t have to worry about sanding your floor for a long time to come.

There are many professional organizations that carry on the sanding work by sending a few experts to your home. The most popular method employed by the sanding companies is to use the 7-tier method, in which they will start off with really fine sandpaper and then in the last process, they will seal it off with a finishing lacquer which seals the beauty of the floors for a longer period.

If you are not keen on getting a professional, you can also hire the machines for performing the 7-tier technique, but it is always advisable to rope in some experts for a better piece of work.
Sanding the floors in the right way can give the look of the house a much needed boost. Not only that, the value of the property also increases if you have kept the floors in a better condition.
