The basic version is a great experience, but I suggest booking a deluxe package if you can swing it. By far, the most popular package at the West Rim is one that takes you on a thrilling helicopter ride to the bottom of the canyon followed by a scenic float trip along the Colorado River, as well as access to the chilling glass Skywalk. What a tour!

Of course, you will have great fun if you decide to go to the South Rim instead. You will have about three hours to spend at the Park where you can explore on foot and see points of interest like the Grand Canyon Village.

The Fourth of July is a very busy day at the National Park. That is why you have to get your seats as early as you can. Try to get them at least one week ahead of time.

Even though Independence Day is a major holiday, deals are still available on Grand Canyon motor coach tours. You'll find the best prices on the tour company's website (don't bother with online travel brokers like Priceline, Viator or Expedia ? they'll charge you more).
