Where Can I Travel In Angola?
Africa is one of the most frequently visited continents by a large number of tourists because of her beautiful sceneries and wildlife. If you are planning to take your family out for a holiday, visit Angola and experience her beauty.
Angola is a large developing country in south central Africa bordering Namibia to the south Congo to the north and Zambia to the east. The capital city is Luanda and Portuguese is the official language. The population of Angola is roughly 12 million people. Planning to take a trip to Angola? It is not advisable to travel at the beginning of November because this is a rainy season that lasts till March. In the south east of Angola, the weather is very hot and dry all day long. At night however, the temperatures can drop to around freezing point. The best time to visit Angola is after the rainy season between May and October because during the rainy season, the high air humidity of around 95% further exacerbates the heat.
The good transport network has contributed to the economy since visitors enjoy Angola's airport that have banks and public phones. The famous Luanda-4-de- fevereiro ...
... airport is situated 4km outside Luanda and this makes it easy and fast to travel from one country to another. There are also taxis and buses that are very reliable.
Tables should be booked in advance in the few restaurants and hotels. Many dishes are made using palm oil beans. There is also a noticeable Portuguese influence in Angolan cuisine, particularly in the spicy seafood. Other foods include; Calulu (dried fish or meat layered with fresh fish or meat, onion, tomatoes, okra and sweet potato leaves), Chicken muamba (seasoned with palm oil hash) Mufete de Cacuso (fish seasoned with pepper and lemon) and Farofa (cooked manioc flour).
Do you have passion for music and entertainment? Angolan music is a fusion of Caribbean, Brazilian and Afro sounds. If you are planning to attend a show, it is advisable to book early in advance. Why not visit the Lenarious which is a gallery and café that is open until late night and have to experience what they provide?
Would you like to stay in a comfy and luxurious hotel? Angola will provide hotels that are booked in advance since tourists visit this country often. Though there are few hotels in Angola, you can hurry and get a place in Le Presidente Meridian Hotel, Hotel Tropical or Hotel Alvalade which are all found in Luanda. The hotel rooms are quiet tasty all having colour TV with satellite channels, private bathrooms and toilets, hair dryers, safari excursion office and beauty parlour, hair dressing salon, safety deposit facilities, taxi services, working desk and newspapers. There are experienced staffs on hand to assist in planning and arranging everything from coffee breaks to gala dinners. This is a real place to have the best holiday in.
Hire a taxi and walk around the country as you discover the different attraction sites. In Luanda, there is the Mussulo Island for clean tropical beaches and water sports. There is also the Benfica market for handcrafts and souvenirs and the Kissama National Park for animal and bird watching. Another town that receives a lot of visitors is the Baia Azul for beautiful desert beaches and Art deco architecture. Others include Kalandula Falls and Pedras Negras rock formation in Malange.
