When do you think you are bringing up good news to Jesus Christ, the moment you feed the hungry or help the needy? There are countless spiritual and the physical needs among different communities across the globe. Thus to meet these physical and spiritual needs, mission trips were discovered which served as an effort to combine and coordinate the mission resources with the Churches. It came into existence in the year 1991, and till this date innumerous numbers of students, adults have served to the people of United States, Africa, Central America and Mexico.

This all started with two college students who decided to take along with them a group of youngsters overseas. Instead of luxury hotels, and beautiful beaches they entered a world of extreme poverty. They saw barefooted children begging for food, elderly people dying in rucksacks and communities diminishing while no one watched them. They returned home half heartedly but truly inspired by what they saw and felt about such communities. The Senior High Mission Trip includes a team of senior people who organize such trips of at least 5 to 10 days. They do this with the motto of serving the people and along with it communicating the good news of Jesus Christ. These teams serve as quick learners, excellent servants and good story tellers. Here, such an atmosphere is provided where teams focus on only serving the poor because they believe that their existence is by invitation and not invasion, they are here to learn and not to teach. The students meet new challenging projects of the community which are in desperate need. They keep working on those projects by helping them in every manner. The way back to their homes, they aspire their own community to bring changes for their betterment. These trips are well planned, and fundraising is the most integral part of the planning. They list some perfect ideas for it and let them work. Some of those ideas are holding a race event, hosting a brunch or a dinner, selling candies and t-shirts. Each single penny is spent over the project and sometimes even the team members collect extra funds from their personal accounts.

They say if you have encouragement from being united with Christ, tenderness and compassion, any fellowship with the spirit, comfort for his love, being one in spirit and love no more selfish ambition or conceit then only you can serve better. One should have the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus, and by working together, caring for the problems of others, we can experience unity. The years you spent in the service, you will leave transformed from love and resilience you find in those you meet. God has called them, and in response to that, they created such mission trips.
