Canine bloat is a deadly disease which affects the dog's stomach. It is considered as the second risky disease after cancer for the dogs which kills them in less than in one hour. This canine bloat mainly affects large breed dogs where as puppies do not get affected with this. But in some rare conditions, puppies too get affected with bloat.

HOW CANINE BLOATS AFFECTS THE DOGS?

Bloats are affected to dogs if they intake excess amount of food and water. Generally, some dogs eats in excess but if it is followed with exercise, then it can cause bloat to dogs. Inside the dog's stomach, the fluid gases which are not released at regular intervals are filled inside the stomach. This result in stomach twists and swells into 90 to 360 degrees which the inlets and outlets from the stomach will be constricted at both the ends. If these things happen to your pet, then the following symptoms can be occurred from your puppies in which you can confirm that your pet has got affected with bloat disease. If treatment is not given and if proper care is not takes towards it, then dogs can die very soon.

SYMPTOMS OF BLOAT:

Abnormal pulse rate. (increase in heart rate)

Restlessness

Continuation of vomits on after each meal.

Difficulty in breathing.

Weakness, unable to stand.

Coughing

High drooling

Seeking for a place to hide.

Attempt of eating small stones

Refusing even to sit or lie down

Too much drinking for liquids like water and milk.

Whining

The following above are the symptoms. Even if three behaviors from the above are seen with your dog, then it's the high time to alert and take them to nearest veterinary hospitals. It is a curable disease if noticed before and taken proper care. If it exceeds with the disease, then the disease will kill your lovable pet.

PREVENTION:

As prevention is better than cure, the following things can be followed to avoid your pet from bloat disease.

Regular check up at intervals

Injections on each month

Don not allow your dog in rapid or excessive drinking.

Feed with high quality food with rich protein and avoid carbohydrate foods.

Arrange some place for the passage of fresh air for your dogs except while on meals.

Allow dog foods gradually.

If proper care is given for your pet, then they roam happily and play with you with disease free.
