The hot weather is here and it is time to turn our thoughts towards summer! There are so many things to look forward to at this time of year. There seems to be a slower pace to our days. Kids are out of school, vacations are being taken, and there are parades and activities to enjoy outdoors.

Another thing that seems to happen is that people become more aware and enthused about improving their health. They begin eating properly and drinking more water. They make more of an effort to get out and exercise. There are many good things that happen in the summer. I think for many this would be their favorite time of the year.

This may be because there are so many activities available. Running, baseball, boating, swimming, hiking they are all so much more fun when the weather is nice (and safer too). There is also an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables and they are cheaper to buy, so perhaps that is why people eat more of them.
