A key of getting a health body is nutrition. Nutrition plays an important role in growing, developing, and repairing of any damaged cell of our body. So that, meet your daily nutritional needs is necessary. One of the best nutrition that you can pick up for yourself is coconut oil.

Virgin coconut oil or simply call VCO provides many health benefits for us. It’s one of many reasons why there are many people started to use it in their daily lives. Actually, the oil is loaded with a kind of acid known as lauric acid, it claimed able to improve the immunity of our body against bacteria and viruses.

The oil is made by grinding the coconut meat into small granules and dries it directly under sunlight or in a low temperature room. After it dried, the next process is that expels the oil out from the meat and then bottled for later usage. Since it only use sunlight for drying, all of the beneficial nutrients are saved intact and still provide all it goodness for human consumption.

Despite coconut oil is rich in saturated fats, but most of them can be converted easily into an energy source instead stored as fat ...
... in the body. Some research explained that consume VCO on a regular basis can help increase the HDL cholesterol level and burn more abdominal fat. It also shown a different result compared with those who used olive or soy oil as their main cooking oil.

Coconut oil is also far safer to be used as regular cooking oil. The main reason is that the smoke oil value is higher than other oils. The smoke point references the peak temperature before the oil loose its health benefiting properties. Therefore, it’s recommended to replace your oil with coconut oil for baking, sautéing and other cooking purposes.

You also can use coconut oil in the same way that you use olive oil, such as for frying meat, sautéing, salad dressings or marinades. Some people even use it for baking instead using butter. Coconut oil is also great for your hair and skin as a natural conditioner but still provides some nutrition with it. Other benefits including: prevent flaking and dryness of the skin and regrowth damaged hair.

At last, I just want to warn you that not all the coconut oil sold in markets are safe for human consumption, since I found some of them added harmful chemicals in the process, so you need to pay attention on the product label.
