Press always has something to discuss and analyze. This time they set about cinematography and named movies that to their opinion praise smoking habit. There were made studies and it was proved that smoking in movies has negative effects on people (especially children) making them want to smoke in their real life. They see James Bond smoking cigarettes and they find it cool.

When I see a new article title in press which comes down on James Bond and latest movie about him called Skyfall which was named worst smoking movies 2012, I wonder how we release movie makers from responsibility for damaging beauty standards and junk food in movies ? Junk food in fact causes more damage to human body than cigarettes.

The answer is hidden in interests that must be defended. Thus a lobby group with its logo «Smoke Free Movies» pressures Hollywood to reduce the number of scenes with smoking. The less people are smoking cigarettes the better. A study showed that 96% of teenage girls wish to have a different body. 54% of teenage girls aged between 13 and 20 skip their meals. Between 1997 and 2007 there was tripled the number of cosmetic surgical procedures made on children younger than 18 years old, and around 65% of women and girls suffer from an eating disorder.

It does not mean that smoking in movies is of no importance. If we start blowing up smoking in movies it would be fair to start blowing up junk food too.
