How To Keep Your Room Dry
Native Londoners will know how wet it may get. Our weather is famous for its heavy rains in spring and autumn, even during summer. Some areas of London, like Enfield and Chiswick have houses that are especially susceptible to moisture. It kind of sucks when you have mould and mildew spreading in your bathroom, but it sucks even more when you can smell it in your bedroom. There are ways to prevent this and keep things dry while not spending a fortune on isolation and remodeling. Here is some advice on how to keep your home dry during the "wet" season.
First major ally in your battle with mould and mildew is air. Usually the troublemakers grow in wet, dark places with little air circulation. Fresh air may be the key to solve your problems. It may be hard to do this with low temperatures outside, but you should use every sunny moment to ventilate your home. This will definitely remove the already accumulated bad air, and will give the bastards something to think about while they grow.
