There are several ways to mark an object and give it an identity. This marked identity further helps a user to use the material at an appropriate place and according to the instructions mentioned on it. The engraving or marking of hard objects has become extremely easy, less time consuming and more cost efficient with the advent of newer techniques.
Laser marking is becoming popular in the marking industry these days due to its unique inherent features that facilitate smooth marking of almost any kind of objects ranging from the naturally existing ones, coated or uncoated metals, polymeric materials and hard substances which were earlier difficult to engrave in a refined manner. The hard objects posed a great difficulty for the marking techniques that were present earlier with a common problem of a lack of finish in the final marking of an object.
A laser mark is not only clearly visible but also looks quite attractive for the reason that it does not have any stray marks along with it. This is the due to the reason that no hard tool is used which touches the surface of a base material for marking it and the work ...
... is done with the help of a special kind of sharp light called laser. A laser is actually an amplified light that is the result of a stimulated emission of a radiation. When no other type of marking technique could take up the task of marking a hard object, a laser beam works wonder for it and successfully completes the task.
The duration for which a marking on an object remains intact depends upon several factors such as the quality of the base material used (thickness and strength), the technique used and the final usage of the embossed material i.e. the presence of heat and pressure in the environment where it is used finally. The laser marking is done with the help of laser beam which does not cause severe pressure on the base material. Any type of pictorial logos, texts and coded information can be marked easily and with enhanced visibility. A laser mark serves well the purposes of categorisation of the objects as per the guidelines mentioned on them. For example the industrial equipments and tools are etched carefully so that the labourers can take the note of the important information and do not put their lives at risk.
