A popular and important pilgrimage center for Catholics is in Lourdes where the statue of Our Lady was erected. This statue is known as Our Lady of Lourdes statue. This is one of the most popular Marian pilgrimage sites in the world. It is assumed that it is the next after the Holy Land. Thousands of Christians come there every year on a pilgrimage. Several miracles such as healing and other wonders were performed here.
