dye sublimation melbourneDNP Melbourne and dye sublimation Melbourne printers are used mainly for making prints on the polyester fabric. This kind of fabric can be used for clothing or advertising media, which includes various types of banners such as "L" banners, hanging banners, flag banners, X Banners, roll up or pop up banners, retractable banners, trade show displays and backdrops. Dye sublimation was originally discovered in 1957 by a guy named Noel de Plasse in France. He examined that some dyes sublimate when subjected to very high temperatures. It leads to the development of idea called electronic sublimation in 1980's. It is used as an electrical charge to transfer the pigment from the dye material direct into paper.

But it was still pretty expensive back then, so only a few people could afford it. Now, dye sub printers compete alongside with Inkjet and laser printers. Most of the dye sublimation printers use CMYO printing colours scheme (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Over coating) which is ...
... different from inkjet banner printing (on vinyl or fabric) which uses CMYK (cyan-magenta-yellow-black) because the black is eliminated and the clear overcoat is used instead. One catch of dye sublimation is that it needs to have specialized form of paper.
This special paper also contains film packs that are specially formulated to produce the best combination of colours. The dyes are for one-time use only, so one can't use it for printing other set of pages. These downsides though are only a consequence of the high quality prints that these printers can make. This over-print is both a UV protectant and it helps to create a water-resistant coating for polyester banners and displays, t-shirts, table covers, sportswear, flags, and other items that require high-definition printing. Traditional dye sublimation printing utilizes a transfer paper which is printed with the CMYO inks in reverse, then, using a heated pressure DNP DS40 roller at around 375F, "marries" the paper to the polyester fabric, and converts the dye to gas, and transfers the image onto the banner or other cloth.

After printing, this fabric can be washed without damaging the quality of the printing. The other advantages of printing through DNP DS-40 Melbourne and dye sublimation Melbourne is that the images don't peel or fade, the colours can be brilliant due to the amalgamation of the dye to the fibers of the polyester or other synthetic fabric. Another major advantage of dye sublimation printing is that the colours can be brilliant due to the continuous tones that make the printing appear photographic.
