I will keep this because brief when i can and will not get as well technical. I've done many of the research and visited the actual HDTV enthusiast forums as well as looked high and low for the right TV in my price range. How this TV will get this high quality at this budget range is a mystery to me. It's a plasma TV, there are some benefits and dis-advantages to that particular. Mostly advantages, but not for everyone. Disadvantages that might disqualify this TV to someone may be the weight, because plasma Televisions are a little bit heavier... if you plan on dangling this somewhere that the fat might be an issue, get an Liquid crystal display. Also if you view TV during the day in a room with a lot of windows for some reason (your likely watching cleansers), you might want a good LCD that handles extremely lit rooms a little better. It is also a bit more fragile than an LCD and the cup is more prone to break in the event that something strikes it (kids toy, nintendo wii remote etc), you can buy the screen protector to solve which issue, but you will spend an additional $140 or so.
