Spanje is the Dutch term referring to the country of Spain. Spanje is known officially as kingdom of Spain and is an EU country. The official language of the country is Spanish and its capital city is Madrid which is also a very important city in terms of tourism and economy. There is a lot to see and do while on holiday in Spanje and as you will discover, there are so many areas of interest all over the country that choice is something that you will have a hard time with.

The beautiful country is located on the peninsula of Iberia. It lies in the south west region of Europe. The population of Spain is over 47million people and covers a percentage of eight of the whole Iberian Peninsula. The country also has island destinations in both the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans.

You will find fishing villages in some parts which greatly contradicts the vibrant nightlife in city areas such as Madrid. The tourism in the coastal regions is very different to things like flamenco and bullfighting. There is a lot of diversity in Spain which greatly assists a person to have the very kind of holiday that they mostly desire.

The currency used in Spanje is the euro. This is important knowledge for all persons who are planning to visit the country. You will need to change your currency if you are not from the EU or any of the other countries that use the euro. However, most of the people in Spain especially those in businesses may very easily accept credit cards when you have all the proper documentations to prove your identity.
