Javea or sometimes Xabia is a great coastal town within Alicante. It is in Valencia and is located at the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It lies behind a bay area that is well sheltered by rocky headlands and the town is today a very popular market town as well as a seaside resort area even though it is pretty small. The town of Javea lies to the north of Alicante province. When the days are clear, one can see the island of Ibiza as it lies some distance away. The land is quite flat and very fertile for agricultural purposes.
