Rosas or Roses is a municipality in Catalonia Spain. It is situate in the Costa Brava and is an area that holds a lot of importance in the country. It lies near a gulf called Roses and it is from there that the name was derived. Rosas is a very important port for fishing activities and also holds a lot of importance in the tourism sector as it acts as one of the most important centres. It is connected to Figueres by use of the c-260 links.
The history of Rosas is not very clear especially revolving around its origin. However, it is believed that the Rhodes were the establishers of this municipality. There are many historical theories that revolve around the municipality but most are unclear.
