It is a known fact that one never gets anywhere in life unless they decide to go out of their comfort zone and experience what it’s really like out there. One of the major upheavals that we have to go through in life is deciding where to live. Choosing a place to live is often challenging but one thing that we overlook sometimes is the fact that the place we choose should be based on our personalities, our personal preferences and not because People Magazine said it was the best place to live in.

Going by our gut instincts is helpful most of the time because who else knows ourselves better than us right? Some people like to be right smack in the center of all the action while some prefer to live in relative peace and quiet. Some with more practical sense want to live close to their place of work to save on gas money by either commuting a short distance or using their bikes. Whatever your reasons are for wanting to move, one thing is for certain: it has be because you know you’ll be happy there.

One of the most challenging transitions is when one considers suburban living after living in the city for a while. ...
... World apart, the pros and cons of suburban living has been the subject of many debates and despite many points of view being thrown back and forth, there is no clear winner as of yet. However, if you judge the rising number of people who are finding serviced apartments in Rhodes, Sydney, for example, it seems the scales are finally balancing in favor of something at last. You can find Rhodes accommodation here and get an idea of why this is so.

With city living becoming too congested, crowded and polluted for comfort, it is no wonder people are finally considering the peace and quiet, not to mention fresher air offered by the suburbs. Those who have had it living in apartments that don’t allow you even a windowsill garden welcome the fact that homes in the suburbs offer so much space than you know what to do with, complete with a backyard that you can either put a pool or greenhouse in. And let’s not forget that when you move to Rhodes, you get an excellent view of the Parramatta Bay – a view of the water, who can say no to that? View Westprecinct.com and find out what other great views you can get.

Also, the hustle and bustle of city living often leaves you with no time to get to know your neighbors but living in the suburbs does. In fact, that’s the first thing you’ll experience as soon as you move in when the nice old lady from two houses away knocks on your door and welcomes you to the neighborhood with freshly-baked pumpkin pie. And one thing about the suburbs is that you seem to live just minutes away from everything – the schools, malls, groceries, parks, etc. In fact, you can even bring your trolley home from the grocery and someone will pick it up for you later that night…how convenient is that?

OK so now that you’ve decided to move to the suburbs, the first thing you should probably do is look for an apartment. These days, you have the option of renting furnished or non-furnished apartments with no real difference in rental rates but if convenience and ease is what you’re looking for, then serviced apartments are the best. Not only are they already fully-furnished that all you have to do is move in, they also come with amenities like a cleaning service and free internet connection. When you check out sites like WestPrecinct for example, you can customize your search parameters to suburb location and number of bedrooms so you come up only with the results you want.

While most people would take the time to personally go apartment-hunting on the weekends, some find it easier to just search for the best apartments online since you can immediately access information you want like rental prices, floor plans and pictures of every room in the apartment. Of course, while you still have to make the time to personally inspect the apartment to see if it actually resembles the pictures, it does save you time because you can list down the apartments you want to see and just schedule them according to priority.

When you look for apartments Rhodes, you need to list down the locations you are considering, the prices you can afford and more importantly, what furniture is already at the apartments. Serviced apartments usually already have a fully-equipped kitchen, beds in the bedrooms and a complete dining and living room set. Anything that has less than that is something you should scratch off your list. Drive through the neighborhoods you are considering and take note of the following: are the buildings in good shape? How far is it from your place of work? If you have the time, try the bus services and drive through the town during rush hours to get an idea of the traffic situation.

One thing you’ll love about renting in the suburbs is the fact that it is cheaper than renting an apartment in the city. Because city apartments are usually right smack in the center of all the action, they tend to charge higher rates while apartments in the suburbs are not located anywhere near high-activity areas which is why they have lower rates. When you find accommodation Rhodes at WestPrecinct you’ll also appreciate the fact that your stress levels will be lower and that you will enjoy life more because you finally can.
