The Graduate Management Administration Test (GMAT) is a very important milestone for the future of business students. After mastering this test, a student gets admission into a graduate management programme, such as an MBA. There are many websites that help you mastering the GMAT by teaching you about all the sections that come in the exam and also taking one or two standardized tests. At the time you will be sitting for your Graduate Management Administration Test, you will have already given one or two standardized tests and will know all what is required. The GMAT test is not different from other tests. The key features of GMAT are are similar to other tests. The clock, silent room, pencils and the scratch paper also apply. In terms of content, you will notice that there are four section headings; analytical writing, integrated reasoning, verbal and quantitative section. It is computer adaptive and only allows you to answer one question at a time; you can never skip to the next question before you have provided the answer to the question on the screen. This format enables the test to adapt to your skill level as you provided the answers. A correct answer bumps up the challenge while the wrong answer eases the next question.

The exact amount of time you are required to have finished your GMAT test is also important to know. You only have three and a half hours to do this test. Although GMAT test if found in all business schools, it tests your general abilities and your acquired skills; not your management skills or business knowledge.

This test has different sections which include the quantitative section, analytical writing and verbal section as well as the new section integrated reasoning. All the sections are in a computer adaptive format except the analytical writing and the integrated reasoning. Questions tested in this test in different sections cover different subjects, making this test more interesting than other standardized test. The three and a half hours is distributed in all the three section as follows: analytical writing section takes 30 minutes, integrated reasoning covers 12 questions in 30 minutes, verbal assessment takes 75 minutes and contains 41 multiple choice questions and finally the quantitative assessment takes 75 minutes and contains 37 multiple choice questions.

There are three sores in GMAT score report, one in each section and the total of all sections. The scores ranges from 200-800 and there are no minimum pass marks for this test. It is important to study well for this test; you can revise sample GMAT questions, in order to score high in test because different schools have their minimum requirement score for its admission.

Time is a precious resource in GMAT test. You should never forget about your allocated time. Many GMAT takers put their emphasis on only getting the right answers but not getting the right answers within the allocated time. How to distribute your time during this test is very crucial for your success.

Finally, the official GMAT test results are usually available within 2 weeks after you have done the test. Yet, you you will see the total score immediately after the exam on the screen and will be handed an inofficial score report. The official score report is posted to your email or postal address and also to the schools which you have selected.
