Tips For Ideal Bridal Make-up
Every bride wants to look the perfect on her wedding day. However, it can be possible only if she follows the right moves to be the ideal bride. This article discusses certain tips that you can follow while doing makeup for wedding.
Brides definitely wish to look their daunting best on their D-day. Everything from bridal trousseau to makeup artist - all is given equal importance; but if you do not know the basics right chances are that a lot can go wrong with your look and grace. Selecting an expensive bridal wear and hiring a makeup artist is not enough, you need to keep some makeup tips up your sleeve to get the basics right.
We have compiled a list of makeup tips, especially for Indian brides to get the right look on your D-day. Here’s how:
Select the right base. This is where many girls go wrong and in many cases, beauty experts also. While many of the beauticians tend to give you a fair look, the correct procedure is to select a base shade which is only a shade lighter to your skin tone. Remember looking fair cannot make you look beautiful. For capturing a beautiful face you need to look glamorous ...
... and natural. A little more of advice; use ice before applying the base, this would make your foundation base last longer.
Basics of eye makeup. Take adequate sleep before the marriage day so that no visible dark circles or eye bags are formed; and lethargic eyes are strict no-no on the D-day. Indian women are renowned worldwide for their beautiful eyes. Though market is loaded with a number of shades when it comes to kajal, but it is always advisable to opt for the dark black kohl. Give a doe shape to your eyes. Avoid using red, blue and all sorts of rabid colors to your eyes. And lastly don’t forget the mascara.
Choose hairstyle carefully. Leaving your hair open might be a good idea for Sangeet or Mehendi ceremony, but it might not enhance your appeal on the D-day. A hair bun adorned with various hair accessories is the safest bet when it comes to traditional bridal trousseau. You can ensemble your hairstyle with a mangteeka in the middle of the forehead. You may or may not opt for a middle hair parting when adorning a mangteeka; side parting, or no hair partings or puffed fringe will look equally good depending on the face shape.
Cheeks should not be given much importance, but it is usually seen that many girls opt for overdone reddish, pinkish highlighted cheekbone area. Rather give it a soft touch of red or gold. Prominent cheeks would make you look beautiful, but only highlight it and not overload it with cosmetics.
Decoration of the forehead is a must for Indian bride make-up. In Hindu marriages It is a ritual that every Indian girl needs to follow and it does look good if done professionally with small adhesive bindis in color coordination with the bridal trousseau. Less complicated designs on the forehead would definitely be a better choice.
Apart from these cosmetic applications, it is wise to go for pre-wedding beauty treatments. Use herbal facial packs regularly for a natural glow, go for regular hair spas to keep them glossy and gorgeous and also get manicures/ pedicures regularly.
