Not Happy With How Your Study Room Looks And Feels Like? Find Out What Went Wrong
Traditionally speaking, study rooms are all about books and writing tables. Nothing less, nothing more. If you’ve just done up your study room and aren’t actually liking it, you may be the victim of this traditional thinking. Read on to know the minor modifications that will turn your study room upside down.
Haven’t you gone wrong with wall colors?
Ask yourself whether you’ve decorated your walls with the right colors. Look online for incredibly beautiful study rooms, and decide on the colors that should have been on your walls.
If you don’t want to paint the entire room, just choose a wall, and paint it in a different color. Even this will boost the overall look and feel of your room.
Where’s the natural air?
I’ve been to hundreds of study rooms (okay, I exaggerated, but if not hundreds, at least one hundred), and found many study rooms lacking the basics. For example, many of us forget the importance of having a study room filled with natural air.
Natural air and sunlight won’t only better the way the room looks like to eyes, but also help the occupants read ...
... and study with concentration. Another thing that you can do is take your writing desk near to the window.
Laminates are your friends:
I’ve seen it myself. Wood laminates change the very way a surface looks like. Pick laminate colors and patterns sensibly. Be it your bookshelves or writing desk or chair or floors, laminates, such as gloss laminate are there for every surface. But, there is one thing that you have to careful about: laminate colors and wall paints should complement each other; the purpose is to create an atmosphere that lets you relax so that you can read and study for hours.
Say no to electronics
Computers are okay, but let the room electronics-free. Avoid play stations, mobiles, and tablets in the room.
Last tip: make your study room clutter free. Let only the best come in. The room will automatically start looking great when it’s not filled up with everything you bought and not used in all these years. Some of the study rooms that I visited were not more than a dumping ground for their families.
If your study room doesn’t excite you, all you’ve to do is clean it up and use a different color scheme for walls, and fix wood laminates on the surfaces. Just try this for once and see how beautifully things come out.
