Horse Portraits – Get A Horse Portrait Or Other Pet Portraits
Horses are beautiful and majestic creatures. It’s amazing to spend time with these beautiful animals, and having one to call your own is truly a gift. Unfortunately, you can’t have your horse in your home. You can, however, have a lovely horse portrait painted or sketched. This will allow you to view your horse’s beauty anytime.
Getting pet portraits is becoming a more common trend. More and more people are having their furry little loved ones put on canvas. Unfortunately, most of them are taken from us far too soon. Having their happy, twinkling eyes looking back at us from a picture on the wall helps to keep them in our hearts forever.
Horse portraits can be done from life or from a photograph. Artists can take your favorite photo of your horse and make a very life-like painting. The artist may also choose to use pastels, which are almost like a crayon. They are high concentrations of color held together by a binder. Unlike crayons, they do not use wax.
The artist may choose to use art pencils or charcoal for a beautiful effect for your horse portrait. This will give a gorgeous black ...
... and white portrait. It is a very classic and regal look to honor your beautiful horse. The wonderful shading of these prints truly adds depth to the details of the portrait.
Whichever medium you choose for your horse portrait, you will be so happy you opted to have it done. The picture you choose to have the portrait created from will also determine the feel for the portrait. You may want to consider a photo with your horse running with his/her mane flowing behind him/her.
Horse owners aren’t the only ones opting for pet portraits. Many dog and cat owners are also having their furry baby’s portrait done. Although pencil and charcoal portraits are always nice, you may want to opt for paint or pastels for your dog or cat to capture the wide variety of colors in their fur and eyes.
Cats have outstandingly beautiful eyes. There is so much depth and color in them. Having a pet portrait done of your cat in color can really capture the amazing spirit in your cat. Some are playful and spunky, while others are lazy and subdued. No matter what your cat’s personality is, the artist will be able to capture that essence in the portrait.
Although people have portraits done of just about every kind of animal, horse portraits seem to be among the most common. Maybe it is because they are such majestic creatures. They have a beauty that is unparalleled. The are loved and revered by people everywhere.
