Just because you might be restricted in relation to the funds you're able to invest in redecorating the home, it is still possible to transform a room quite spectacularly if you are able to use your imagination. With the right budget friendly tips in place, it is certainly possible to redecorate a living room or bedroom, while restricting yourself to a specific financial plan.

Redecorating the Home

If you are looking to redecorate a space in the home on a limited budget, one of the first points that need careful consideration is the amount that you are able to invest in the redecorating project. Once you have in mind a ball-point mark for the amount you are able to invest, you are then able to move onto the planning stage of how best you can redecorate the home.

Likely to be one of the most cost-effective and effective ways of modernizing a living space is to paint the walls. A fresh coat of paint isn't likely to stretch the finances too match; this is one of the easiest ways to completely change the basic appearance of a room.

Enhancing a living space with pieces of art can often go a long way to ...
... brighten up the often plain wall spaces; you can often find a wide range of abstract or similar art pieces at very cost-effective prices. If you are able to invest in the right piece of art it can add a nice touch to the living space and is able to add a degree of personality.

If you are looking to save money when it comes to purchasing pieces of furniture, you might want to look at those pieces that offer dual purposes. For example you have the futon which can work as a combined sofa during the day and a bed at night. It is also possible to make a furniture piece such as an ottoman more functional by choosing those that offer built-in storage.

In many situations you might find it is possible to recycle items that you already in the home. If you have items of furniture in the home that is rarely touched, you could put them to use in the room being redecorated. For instance if you have a small side table, area rug, of similar design feature, this might well be incorporated into your freshly decorated room.

Also, you might want to look at painting decorative containers or vases in a choice of attractive colors and incorporating them in the living space which will enable you to create an inspired theme of design idea. You can also use a wide range of soft furnishings which have complementary colors in order to try to break up any areas of the room that might be overly plain in design.

Redecorating the Office

Obviously when looking at redecorating the office the same tips and points will apply but some factors that should be considered when refurbishing the office include the brand that your business portrays as well as the important aspect of factoring in ergonomics.
When decorating the office it is important to keep your brand in mind and choose furniture and accessories that reflect the image your business is trying to portray. There is not point, for example in furnishing your commercial space with funky modern furniture if you are a company that deals in antiques – for example. And likewise, if you are a cutting edge social media/IT company then filling your office with outdated furniture is not going to reflect well on your brand overall.
Ergonomics is another factor that needs to be considered because of the influence it has on not only the health and wellbeing of your employees but also because it is proven to increase productivity and open communication within the workspace.

Another thing that needs to be considered is storage. So many offices are now going for that minimalist look but fail to realize that the less options there are for storing files and information, not to mention personal belongings then there is more chance the office will look cluttered and again reflect badly on your business as a whole. There is no need to go all out and buy cupboards and filing cabinets for every room, even a simple 3 drawer mobile pedestal placed under each desk can be enough to keep the clutter to a minimum whilst not affecting the overall look that you might be going for.

Regardless of what direction you want to take when redecorating your work or home space, keep common sense and the image you want to portray in mind, because then no matter how you choose to furnish and decorate, there is a good chance you will do so successfully.
