So many people reject reading in today’s world. It is as if it is something boring and something they needed to do while at school. However, for a true reader, all this is nothing but stupidity. For him, nothing is more pleasurable than curling up with a favorite book. However, for non- readers, the reading habit can be difficult to inculcate. Here’s how you can inculcate the reading habit.

1. Starting with best sellers books is a great idea. No one will take up something as a hobby if it is not something they enjoy. And that is why starting out with best sellers books is a way to ensure that you read something that has been enjoyed by a lot of people.

2. The fantasy genre is almost surely something you will enjoy. Reading best fantasy fiction is a great idea as it will give you an idea of how far someone can go when it comes to fantasizing. Best fantasy fiction like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings series are books that people almost always find extremely enjoyable. When you read interesting books, chances are you will continue reading and having fun.

3. Have a quiet place where you can go and read ...
... every day. This may be as elaborate as having a full library with all the works or something as simple as a favorite chair with a window showing the view outside. When you have a special place for your reading, going to it becomes easier because that becomes your sanctuary.

4. Always have a stock of books you want to read. Pick up titles whenever someone mentions some good ones she enjoyed or when you browse the internet. Have at least a couple of new books ready for you to pick and start reading any time you want. When you have potential books available, making time for reading becomes easier.

5. To start any kind of habit, one has to practice is diligently. For this, you have to make time to read every single day. Unless you are in the middle of an emergency or too much work pressure, make sure you read every day. Making time to read even if only for 15 minutes a day is a great idea.

Making reading a part of your daily life is a great idea. This will ensure that you always have something to do even if no one else is around or the cable is not working!
