3. Since developers earn 80 percent of the revenue generated from app sales from here, they prefer investing in the BlackBerry App World.

Its disadvantages however have resulted in low usage:

1. Similar categories of apps sell at higher prices when compared with other major app stores.

2. There have been repeated complaints of problems in app installations.
