Companies use brochures and pamphlets to come up with a lot of advertisements, either persuasive or informative. Gone are the days of designing normal designs for the brochures where you used to design normal brochures and put elements into structures and places accordingly. Now people concentrate more on the design of the brochures and the uniqueness that will attract the viewer’s attention and make them to read the content of brochure.

Here are some tips on designing a brochure that you might want to consider before designing a brochure for your company:

You should know the print size of your design, is it in A4 or letter or folded, or tri-folded or how? After you know the design, you have to act accordingly. So if you do not know the size and still design the brochure, there is a good probability that you will have to redesign the brochure according to the new design again, which means that you will have to alter your concepts too.

Creating a good design is also about making it look professional. I have come across a lot of brochure designs that have a very good message to convey, the concept of the design is good, but however, they have used low resolution pictures in the brochure causing it to pixelate and make it look ugly. Use high quality images. If you use too many fonts in the same design, the design will look hideous and very unprofessional. Try to limit the number of fonts to just two.

Do not make your design look boring. Use as many images as you can. Remember a photo tell a thousand words. Write in short. Do not flood your brochure with paragraphs of contents. And also, do not tell everything on the brochure, give your email address and your website, so that they can login or contact you to know more about your design.

Make the design more attention worthy. Design the cover in a stunning fashion, so that the viewer can’t wait to see what’s inside.

These few tips will enhance the quality, impression and the attraction of your brochures. And you can stop worrying about whether people are actually reading it and worry about what responses you will get.
