Panelled Office Furniture From Maispace
Paneled office furniture can be found in nearly any commercial office building that employs people with common desk jobs. These furniture systems are modular, constructed as a system of parts, panel by panel, and transcend most industry borders fulfilling the various and unique business demands of receptionists, sales and service people, telemarketers, teams of workers, and the managers and senior managers of entire offices.
There are many factors that have made paneled office furniture popular for deployment in the workplace. For one, buying furniture that has interchangeable parts can easily allow businesses to coordinate the placement of working areas around already existent furniture and the shape of the room in which a working area has to fit. Furniture can be custom designed to meet the spatial, functional, and aesthetic preferences, which can be hard to meet when choosing among furniture that is sold as a single unit.
One common version of paneled office furniture is the cubicle. Invented by Robert Propst, a designer for Herman Miller Inc., the cubicle was patented as the Action Office prototype. ...
... The intent was to increase privacy and productivity as a result of its modular design. The cubicle had the flexibility to be custom-adjusted to the height of the employee, for example, to increase blood flow and promote a healthy work environment.
The modern-day cubicle is somewhat different than Propsts' Action Office. Although the design is similar- generally private desk areas designed in general U-shape surrounding workers with panels on three sides; a common layout chosen by business managers resulting in collapsible areas within the panel of the individual worker in order to maximize the number of offices that can be fit within a given space on each floor.
Cubicles are often criticized on the account that they've made it easier for business owners to maximize the amount of workers in a given space, and at a lower cost, due to the flexible modular design. It is hard to deny, however, the improvements have been made in this respect from the days before the Action Office, when heavily employed, strapped-for-space businesses would simply pack in flat tables with no shelving or partitions into rows leaving little room in between them in order to maximize human resources.
Although paneled office systems are most commonly seen in offices and workspaces, they are not limited to just cubicles. However, the privacy and peripheral noise-reduction provided by the use of partitions in cubicles is a highly prioritized function by many businesses that choose to invest in paneled office furniture. Ensuring that their employees have their own space is an important consideration for employers with goals to increase productivity. Still, there are several customizable options for design, layout, and use of paneled office systems that enable employers to customize of their office space to suit the needs of their company.
Most businesses need private meeting areas. Paneled office systems facilitate the transformation of a completely enclosed room from a previously open floor. This can be done with stream-lined glass panels or with sturdy wooden panels depending on the overall look of the office as well as intended use of the space. Panels can also be used to separate different departments of a business and create a flow within the office to indicate a clear entering and existing space for personnel limiting distraction within the office creating a more professional ambiance.
MAiSPACE's snap-on, snap-off panel segments are constructed from 24-gauge steel and snapped on to 14-gauge cold-rolled steel structural members for exceptional durability, outstanding flexibility and effective sound dampening. MAiSPACE, the quality in panel construction comes first with system elements that are strong enough to withstand ongoing changes. This framing supports a stackable/de-stackable panel system that enables the construction of workspace walls up to 14 feet high, Bassil says. Individual workplace walls can be modified without disturbing neighboring spaces. The MAiSPACE off-modular design allows flexibility in workspace size, configuration and in locating bins, shelves, and divider panels. In addition, self-leveling connectors simplify moving elements into and throughout the building, reduce assembly cost and the number of framing components required.
