Don’t Just Plan A Holiday, Plan A Europe Tour Package!
There’s no appropriate adjective to describe Europe. All of the Europe tour packages in the world would fall short in their attempts to squeeze the entire overwhelming essence of the continent into just a matter of a few hectic days. At the risk of shattering your holiday delusions, there is no possible way to accomplish all that Europe has to offer in just one trip. So be prepared to plan another, and then another after that. Here are a few offbeat yet essential highlights to help kick-start your love affair with Europe.
Iceland
Youngsters are likely to be familiar with Iceland most probably due to Bjork, Sigur Ros and the dozens of other popular musicians it produces. Serious audiophiles will naturally be drawn to the local folk sounds that find their way back to the traditions of Old Norse. Elves, trolls, cold winters and other elements from Norse mythology are recurring lyrical motifs, set to the music of indigenous instruments such langspils and fidlas and sung in sticky sweet Icelandic dialect.
Switzerland
Switzerland tours are essential. Not the most ‘offbeat’ of European destinations, ...
... but absolutely, certainly, definitely indispensable from your Europe plans. A European holiday isn’t quite the same without a Swiss experience. Be it for the chocolate or the knives or the mountains or the cheese, do not miss out on a chance to visit one of the world’s most enriching cultures.
Scandinavia
The geographical composition of Denmark, Sweden and Norway, also known as the region of Scandinavia, is recognized internationally (and also officially, by the UN) as being one of the most wholesome places to live on the planet. Culturally distinct from the rest of Europe, Scandinavia is known for its black metal movement, winding country roads and cultural Norse pedigree. Interestingly, the region is still recuperating from the effects of the last Ice Age.
Montenegro
The South-East European country of Montenegro is one of Europe’s biological hotspots. 70% of all Mediterranean fish species can be found in the Adriatic waters of Montenegro. It is also home to over 500 species of birds and 3000 plus species of vegetation. If wildlife doesn’t appeal, Montenegrin cuisine should, with its mix of Italian, Hungarian, Mediterranean and even Oriental influences. The local breads come highly suggested.
One shouldn’t hope to zip through a Europe tour package like a rolling stone without gathering any moss. A small secret to ensuring an inspirational journey: discover more by covering less ground.
