How to go:
To visit Amiyakhum, you have to reach at Bandarban first. There are direct bus services from Dhaka. S. Alam, Unique, Shamoly and Dolphin are the non ac bus services which leave from Dhaka for Bandarban at night, will cost 550 taka. From Chittagong to Bandarban by bus will cost about 100 tk. From Bandarban you can go to Thanchi by Bus which will cost about 100 Taka.

Route plan 1: It’s long trail. You have to walk most of the path up-down. You have to start trekking from Thanchi; then Boarding para to Simplampi para. From Simplampi Para you can visit Tajindong. After reaching Simplampi Para you have to climb down to Thandui Para. You have to pass one more hill to reach Bollong para. To visit Amiyakhum you have to start your journey early in the morning from bollong para. In the way you can also see Satbhaikhum then Nakhiang Mukh. It’s a Jiripoth (water trail) and this is one of the most beautiful trails in Bandarban. From Nakhiang Mukh you have to make a Bamboo Raft to reach Amiakum.

... trekking for Bollong para. It’s jhiri path, known as poddo jhiri. To see Amiyakhum you have to start you journey early in the morning from bollong para. On the way you can also visit Satbhaikhum then Nakhiang Mukh. It’s another Jhiripoth and one of the most beautiful trail in Bandarban. From Nakhiang Mukh you have to make a Bamboo Raft to reach Amiakum. On the way to amiyakhum you might see many deers, monkey, birds or other wild life.

Where to stay:
At thanchi, you can stay in the rest house. For assistance visit ‘Modina hotel’ restaurant, they will help you to stay at thanchi. After reaching thanchi you can stay at any tribal para, they are very friendly and hospitable. Try to avoid Simplampi para as they are not that much friendly. Bollong para is a nice place to stay. It’s a Morong para. The Son of karbari (leader of that village) will help you to go Amiyakhum (Bollong para), guide cost depends on negotiation.

What to eat (food): At the trail you have to manage food from locality. We always suggest taking some dry and light food for trail.


Sijuk Waterfall is the greatest natural waterfall in Rangamati. It is situated in Gongoram, Sajek Union, Rangamati. But it is convenient to start your journey from Dighinala, Khagrachari. There are two waterfalls, Sijuk -1 & Sijuk -2 which is known as Chompa Jhorna.

How to go: To see the waterfall, first you have to go to Khagrachori. Direct bus services are available from Dhaka. Such as Shanti Paribahan, S. Alam, Soudia, Shaymoli etc. Ticket price will be around 500 taka. From Khagrachari, there are regular bus & jeep service to Dhiginala, ticket price around 40 tk. If you choose Shanti paribahan you can go directly to Dighinala from Dhaka. After reaching Dhiginala, you have to reserve jeep or Bike. Per bike up-down will cost 700-800 tk. After reaching Gongoram you may have to take a guide. You will find some trails on the way where the water level is about 4.5-5 feet. It’s possible to visit those two waterfalls within a single day. You have to walk 5-6 hours to visit the waterfalls. Moreover you can visit Hajachara waterfall at the same day, which is situated in Dighinala-Gongoram road.
