Audio cables are electrical connectors or optical connectors which are meant for carrying audio signals of various kinds. These audio signals can be either of analogue or digital formats. Analogue audio connectors very often make use of shielded cables to inhibit a vast range of radio frequency interference (RFI) and what is commonly known as noise.

These cables are generally with red and white and sometimes with red and black connectors and are widely used to make connections between devices like Music Systems, DVD players, TV sets or CD/MP3 players to separate stereo receivers.

There are two types of Audio Cables:

Single core shielded cable - in which the single core is used for the ‘positive’, or 'hot', and the shield is used for the ‘negative’, or 'cold'. This type of cable is mainly used for unbalanced audio signals.

One pair shielded cable - in which the cable has one core as the ‘positive’, and the other core is ‘negative’. The shield that is used for this cable is earthed. This type of cable is mainly used for balanced audio signals.

Micro HDMI is the smallest current HDMI connector that is available. It is supported by various devices that are manufactured by leading brands which produce mobile phones, cameras and tablets. One can share movies, photos, videos and other media to and from any HDMI equipped devices.
