Board Up Albuquerque, New Mexico
The tightening grip of the economy can be felt across the nation and those who have already lost their jobs may fear losing their homes. Albuquerque, New Mexico is also feeling the turbulence of the economy and the rise of the unemployment rate.
The Albuquerque area although affected by the rise in foreclosure is doing its very best to keep them at bay. Although they too saw a sharp rise in the foreclosure rate they have been proactive in organizing foreclosure prevention groups and banks have been able to keep sub prime loans current.
Unfortunately boarded up homes still exist. It seems nearly impossible to avoid them. Even Albuquerque with a stable rate of employment has had its share of foreclosures. Non profit organizations receive many calls each and every day from frantic homeowners who fear they will lose their home. Some can be guided through a web of channels that can help, but others will inevitably lose their home to foreclosure.
When this happens the bank is then left holding the bag. Because they are used to dealing with financial decisions and are not property managers they are often ...
... overwhelmed with managing property and keeping foreclosed homes presentable, safe and maintained. This is when board up companies are called. The right board up company will not only board up the house in a way that is acceptable to neighbors, but often times they provide many services that the bank just doesn't have the time to deal with.
A good board up company will offer extended services such as junk removal, paint repair, security and even the eviction process itself. Many offer competitive pricing and free estimates.
Boarded up houses used to be a sign of a house ready to be torn down but now it is common practice to drive down any street, any neighborhood, in any city and see a foreclosed house. The bank typically hesitates to put boards on the windows unless the neighborhood is a high crime area or vandals have broken in in the past. A boarded up house send a direct message to neighbors that the property values will fall and often times panic will spread for no reason. A board up company can care for the house and provide proper security until it is sold.
If you fear the foreclosure is on the horizon it is best to speak directly to your lender and then to an experienced foreclosure attorney. They may be able to provide information that should help you through the process.
