The name of Charles Darwin is immediately reminds people of the theory of evolution. The actual concept of evolution itself is an old as man himself is, and as a philosophy it has been accepted at least from the time of the Greek philosophers, but it was Darwin who converted this philosophical speculation into a scientific hypothesis.

Till the time of Darwin, evolution was only a philosophical idea and people knew that unless they express it in the form of a scientific hypothesis there is no way of testing this concept. This is why Darwin is so important to the students of evolution.

The present-day science is the child of numerous Christians who dedicated themselves to study the Universe because they were convinced of the sustaining hand of God behind everything that is seen. Once the methods of scientific investigation were developed, people understood that unless a concept is expressed in terms of physical sciences, it is impossible to test it in a laboratory. They understood further, in the last century, that evolution is still a philosophical concept which needs to be translated into the language and concepts ...

There was a sense of urgency to do so because hostility against the biblical record of creation had been increasing, and many new ideas opened the way for a theory of of evolution. In this atmosphere of great expectation, Darwin proposed his scientific theory and it was accepted all over the world of learning as the first testable scientific hypothesis (supposition) on evolution.

Fortunate for the theory of evolution, there were numerous scholars in the past century who were burning with a passion against Christianity. They wanted to develop and propagate some theory or other to oppose the idea of God and his creation as found in the Bible. Instead of allowing science to follow its normal course to investigate whether this new hypothesis is correct or wrong, these people started various movements to elevate the theory of evolution as an all pervading fact in the universe.

A number of organizations contributed much to spread this distorted view. For example, the Rationalists Press Association issued numerous cheaply priced books to influence the masses to think that theory of evolution is some kind of scientific fact. The present author has a collection of numerous books issued by this press about 80 years ago. Almost all books are aimed at attacking Christianity and to propagate the theory of evolution as a substitute. As a result of such aggressive and dogmatic teaching of evolution, objective and unbiased research into the topic of evolution became very difficult for a long time. Evolution had become an all embracing religion which did
not tolerate any investigation into its truthfulness. It was in this atmosphere that fakes like the Piltdown Man flourished.

The Piltdown Man was a "fossil-man" created out of a few pieces of bones. For forty years he was displayed in scientific and popular literature man's evolutionary ancestor, a true ape-man. More than 500 learned articles and books appeared on this ancestor of man. Even a monument was raised in the memory of this discovery. But forty years latter they discovered that this man was a fake. Someone had deliberately mixed piece of human and monkey skeleton and some artificially created primitive-looking tools to fool the scientific community. And they were fooled for forty years because of the evolutionary dogma which was dominating at that time. Numerous such errors and deceptions came to light in the following years, which shows the problems which arise when science is mixed with dogma. But things and times have changed, and many scientists are now willing to openly investigate every hypothesis and also to voice their disagreement if they find anything wrong. As a result, the Darwinian hypothesis has suffered a lot even though not many people know this.

Scientists have discovered that there is no proof for evolution in the way Darwin proposed. On the contrary, most of the recent developments in the multitude of the scientific disciplines that we have today tend to show that evolution is NOT possible in the way Darwin proposed. As a result a number of committed Darwinists have started abandoning their commitment to Darwinism.

Darwinism demands that the fossils give us the proof for evolution in the past. Even though a century, and more, of search has produced billions of fully formed creatures they have not helped by producing any ones that show signs of evolution. There just is not even a single fossil to show that one kind of animal or plant has evolved from another kind. Fossils give us a good record of the life in the past, and the billions of fossils that they have discovered only show that the concepts of creation is more scientific than the concept of evolution.

Geological layers were expected to show a gradual evolution of life from very simple to the most advanced forms. But what they found is that even in the lowest geological layer, all the fossils are highly complex. There is no layer which contains very simple life.

The small variations in animals and plants in every generation, due to which the children differ from their parents were supposed to be another cause for evolution. But they have discovered that these variations take place only within certain well-defined limits. Mutations, the small changes taking place from generation to generation due to minute changes in the genes, were supposed to be a powerful mechanism giving rise to evolution. Mutation has been studied thoroughly in the laboratory, scientists have observed things which are just the opposite of what is demanded by evolution.

Several other proofs like the one from classification, the vestigial organs, and embryological proofs have not stood the
test of time. It was even discovered that the embryological proof was a deliberate deception. The laws of physics and chemistry, and the theory of probability and the information sciences have indicated clearly that evolution is not possible.

Darwin proposed his ideas in the form of a hypothesis of science. Since it soon became a dogma, it was difficult to investigate his proposals without prejudice. But recent objective evaluations have shown that the hypothesis of evolution does not work. If anything takes place by itself in nature, it is just the opposite of what is demanded by Darwinism
