Ibiza town is fondly known as Vila d'Eivissa by the locals; its hillside location near the sea is highly favored by tourists as a tranquil holiday destination with a rich culture and history. There are impressive fortifications surrounding the town that stood to defend the place in its days of past glory against its enemies.

Ibiza is well known for its fantastic stretches of great beaches all around. Starting from the south, Playa d’en Bossa offers great beach facilities and amenities with a clear view of some small islands known as Islas Malvinas.
At the north, there are Cala Llonga and Cala Talamaca which are crowded during the weekends and summer.
These beaches are also close to quaint towns and villages such as Santa Eulalia with modern installations and extraordinary beaches. There are many beaches for a tourist or the local to choose from such as Es Canar, Cala Blanca and Playas de Santa Eulalia.
