Google Shows Off New Office Design

When firms are choosing premises to work from, they need to think carefully about what exactly they are looking for. Many organisations now opt to take advantage of serviced offices as they tend to offer an impressive level of convenience and flexibility.

Bosses also have to consider the design of the premises available to them as this can have a major impact on their ability to function successfully.

One company that is a leader in terms of innovative office design is internet giant Google. Around the world, it has modern and unusual offices that it believes help its staff to operate as effectively as possible.

For example, it recently opened new offices in Tel Aviv and, according to Gizmag, they feature an "array of creative and uniquely themed office landscapes". Covering 8,000 square metres, the offices are spread across a total of seven floors and each of these is based on a different theme.

Among the themes are joy and optimism, energy and vitality, innovation and hospitality, humour and fun and friends and family.

Google revealed it hopes the office will inspire fruitful collaborations between co-workers. In total, 200 engineers and 50 sales and marketing personnel work at the site.

Pointing to some of the company's previous office design ideas, Gizmag noted its London office features Brighton Beach sheds and its New York base has retro video game themes. Meanwhile, Zurich has a "bunch of environmental pods" and the Toronto office boasts a rooftop mini golf course.

Of course, most organisations do not wish to inhabit such eccentric working spaces. Thankfully, there are now plenty of serviced office rental premises for managers to choose from.
