Centrifugal fans are also known as squirrel-cage fans and are used to move air and other gases around industrial environments. Some fans allow you to vary the speed of the fans by adjusting the speed of the motor itself, and are also more energy-efficient, prevent energy from being used when it does not need to be. The fans are generally better at handling pressure than other alternatives such as axial flow fans. They can be noisy however, so it may make sense to install centrifugal in areas where the sounds that they make shouldn’t be a problem.
