Recently I visited my friend’s home and we decided to do up her home afresh. She told me that she has been feeling very sad and depressed lately so we decided that she should be in a better and more positively charged environment so that she feels happy about her home.
We discussed that because her home was so sober and lacked colors, she felt low on energy. We discussed about the value of colors in a home decor. We also discussed that colors give a lot of energy to people living around them. Colors have a life and that life is really independent.
We chose some great wall colors to be able to create a positive home environment for my friend. We chose colors belonging to burgundy, red and orange family. We loved those colors on the walls. The colors uplifted the spirit of her home immediately.
For her furnishing, we kept stuff she liked the most. The furnishing we chose for her living room was made of gloss laminate which added a lot of glamour and sheen to her new decor. She loved her new glossy furnishing.

... to order some customized laminate furnishing for other parts of the house. I had seen some great samples once at a showroom and decided to order the kind I had seen for my friend’s home. It was nice on part of my friend to understand and trust my choice. Of course when the furniture arrived, she thanked me as she loved it very much.
For the decor, we bought some nice paintings from the flea market. We decided to frame some of my friend’s artwork to be displayed around the house. We also got some nice family pictures which we had framed in nice frames.
We bought some nice terracotta pots, vases and crystal bowls to display around the house. We used minimal accessories but we chose nice and antique options to create a rich feel around the home. We chose beautiful and antique looking doors. Yes doors! Doors also needed a change. We loved the restroom door we got for her restroom. It was simple amazing and one of the best investments we made during the entire decor project.
The decor project for my friend’s home was interesting and amazing. I just kept one thing in mind, which is, to add colors and be creative with the home decor.
