Buying a highly specialized scale is a decision that can involve a significant amount of money. Specially specialized products that require very high quality of design and manufacturing. And yet the ultimate decision can be a simple one if the amount value that you realize by using the specialized product is very high.

A pallet jack scale is a great example of a specialized product that requires high quality manufacturing so is more expensive than less specialized options and yet gives such a large benefit that one can easily choose to opt for it. The engineering also needs to make sure that the scale is mounted such that it can read the weight accurately by having the load from the entire weight reach the load cells. As you can see the product requires high engineering above and beyond that which is required in a pallet truck and digital scale by themselves.

And yet a good pallet truck scale gives enough incremental efficiency to justify the greater engineering effort and you get great value for your money.
