After bathing, washing hands or for cleaning any part of your body all you require drying yourself. Wiping is the best way. All you need is towel. It draws moisture through direct contact, either by blotting or a rubbing motion. Towel is made of absorbent fabric or paper. The fabric used in making a household towel are cotton, rayon, bamboo, non-woven fibers or a few other materials.

Towels can also be used for purposes other than drying things. For example- barbers use steamed towels to prepare the skin of their customers for shaving, small sized hand towels (usually 30 cm square) are used as handkerchiefs, on cruise ships, towel animals are created for the patrons.

Towels are of various types and as mentioned above used for various purposes. Few of the most common type of towels are:

Bathroom towels is also one type which can consist of foot towel, hand towel, or an all purpose towel. They are also rectangular but small in size. It is generally 30 x 60 cm in size. They are available in various prints and colors. There are also disposable towels, which can be used once and disposed off thereafter. These types of towels are generally used in flights, trains, restaurants or by hotels. They are preferred over normal bathroom towels since after using it for once they don’t need to be washed and are comparatively cheaper also.

Towels can be considered as a necessary product but for few it can be a luxury also. Basically the prices of towels differ. Few are reasonable but many are expensive. The cost depends upon the brand and the material used to make it.
