Best Way To Import Mov Files To Final Cut Pro Freely

Q: I'm new to Final Cut Pro, trying to convert some .mov footage for editing . It's difficult for me to choice a professoinal video converter for lots of different opinions .

As we know that different codec existed in different MOV files. However Final Cut Pro doesn't support all codecs of MOV files.

Step by step to convert MOV to FCP(Final Cut Pro)

Step 1: Load MOV files

Download MOV to Final Cut Pro Converter to your Mac, install and run. Then, you can import MOV files by either directly dragging video files to the left of the main panel or clicking Add Files to load MOV files

Step 2: Select output format ...

Tips: Besides Apple ProRes 422 (HD)(.mov), there are other three Apple ProRes format like Apple Apple ProRes 422 (LT)(.mov), Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)(.mov), Apple ProRes 422 (.mov)

Step 3: Convert MOV to Final Cut Pro
After all the settings have been done, click Convert to transcode H.264 MOV to Final Cut Pro Prores 422 MOV.

Optional: Edit video files
MOV to Final Cut Pro offers multiple functions to allow you edit your video files with Trim, Split, Crop and Edit.
Trim empowers you to cut off unwanted parts for your videos and keep the only video clips you need

Split allows you to cut videos to clips with the same duration or split averagely to several parts
Crop lets you crop off unwanted parts from your video or adjust size of your video files
Edit allows you to tweak video brightness, contrast and saturation or add special effect to video.

Note: If you want to import some MOV files taken by some DSLR camcorders to Final Cut Pro directly, such as Nikon D7000, Canon EOS 5D Mark III, you can also ues this Video Converter for Mac .
