What Style Of Center Table Is Right For Your Home?
Before you buy that center table you seem to have fallen in love with, you need to understand that every design in centre tables creates a different style for your decor. The style of your wooden centre table will decide the style quotient for the room, which is why you might want to start by asking yourself a few questions. What exactly do you want the center table to do for your room? Will it just be a surface for you to keep glasses and books and maybe even the remote? Do you want it to also hold some extra storage space and be multi-tasking or do you simple want it to complete the look of the living room? Other considerations will be how your living room looks as a whole – is it spacious or does it already look a bit cramped?
There are so many designs in center table furniture. And while some will simply fade away in to the kashmiri carpet you so lovingly selected and just be utilitarian, others can be the focal point in the room by being the only eclectic element. Some people also need a versatile table because they want to move it around in the room when they entertain and in such instances, a solid sheesham wood ...
... table can be a tough choice because it’s too heavy to move around easily and a metal plus glass option might be better for your needs. Unless your mango wood coffee table has casters at the bottom, moving it anywhere is impossible and for a larger seating arrangement, you might need to consider two separate wooden center table to cover the entire area.
Your center table furniture will decide the style for the room. Is it modernistic and minimalistic? Is it shabby chic? Is it classical and elegant? For each of these choices; the right style of center table will vary. Also, you need to remember that while your centre table needs to bring in style, it also must be practical. So a wooden centre table with beautiful carvings may be a bad choice if you have kids who will plop their drinks of the table without bothering to find a coaster. Not only will that wear off the varnish and leave unsightly stains, the table might be too high maintenance for your lifestyle and you might be better off with a wooden centre table with a glass top with rounded edges that creates no risk for accidents.
If you do have to choose a wood and glass round center table for practical purposes but still think your living room needs a bit of glamour, invest in a good console table. This narrow skinny table can be placed along a blank wall and is so flexible. You can even put it behind a sofa to create a visual partition between your living and dining space and use if to display vignettes of accessories like books, decorative pieces, family pictures, or even use it as a laptop table that makes it so functional. It adds style effortlessly in to your living room and can also bring in colour, texture and an element of interest if you choose a console table that is hand painted, or carved or has a designer feel to it because of the material choices.
