Living Room Decorated Jaipur Style

I visited this amazing house which was entirely done up in Jaipur theme. I loved every part of the house, the decor was so colorful and cheerful that I loved the way the house looked. The decor was so comfortable and so amazing to look at, I couldn’t believe it.
The living room had floor seating. The placement of the mattresses was done in such a way that the space looked better organized. The living room was neither too small nor too big. It was of optimum size. The floor seating therefore looked appropriate.
The colors which were dominant in the living room were red and burgundy. The mattresses were covered in beautiful throws in happy colors. I loved the whole idea of having low high pressure decorative laminate tables. There were some side tables of good height holding lamps on top of them.
The lights which were chosen for the room were complimenting the decor fabulously. The decor was so beautiful that it needed to be highlighted. The owners chose gloss laminate panels for walls and they made it amazing with the lights they chose.
The windows ...
... were adorned with beautiful hangings with trinkets. I loved the sound the wind chimes made each time the door opened or the air came inside through the window. The trinkets added a whole lot of Indian appeal.
Since, Jaipur is really about colors and embroidery of a certain kind, the cushions and fabrics used in the room were reflective of the culture of Jaipur. I loved the way the cushions brightened up the whole room. The room was beautifully done up with different fabrics- the curtains, the rugs, the throws…everything seemed to make the room cheerful.
There were mirrors and different sorts of lights used to enliven the place. Mirrors were framed beautifully. The lights added so much life to the whole area. Mirrors added an illusion of space.
On the sides of walls were corners installed to display sculptures and photos in colorful frames. I loved the way they had kept it minimal yet loaded the place at some level with memories and culture. They told me that they really worked hard with two of the laminate manufacturing companies to bring together the whole decor and design of their house aesthetically as well as functionally.
The whole house sang of Jaipur culture and artifacts. I loved it so much that I decided to pen this article. I hope you like reading about it too.
