If you are planning for Ajmer visit to India than this piece of writing will assist you. The city of Ajmer was built in 1100 AD by Aijpal Chauhan and the city got its name from Ajaya Meru, which means the invincible hill which guards the city. This city is situated in Rajasthan and is 135 kms South-west of Jaipur. It is one of the most sacred Muslim pilgrimages in the country and it also boasts a long and rather turbulent history.

This city has been playing the role of a great pilgrimage to both the Hindus and Muslims. It is also an amalgam of rich Hindu and Islamic heritage and culture. Thus every year thousands of people came here for Religious tour. There is the Pushkar Lake for the Hindus and the Dargah of great Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din-Chisti of Persia. The Dargah is scared to both Hindus and Muslims. So, it is obvious that the city will have its own culture and unique perspective of life and religion.

Places Of Interest Among all the places of interest, there is the Ana Sagar Lake which has been created in the 12th century by damming the River Luni and there is a pleasant garden of the ...
... Dault Bagh on the banks of it. Apart from the flora and the fauna, there is a series of marble pavilions erected in 1637 by Shah Jahan. The Dault Bagh is famous for an evening stroll and along with that, it provides a nice view of the hills.

There is the final resting place for 'Gharib-Nawaz' Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and the Dargah is a place of wish fulfilment for those who pray with devout and pure hearts, notwithstanding the religion of the person. After continuous prayer of six days in seclusion, the Khwaja left for his heavenly abode in 1295 and these six days are known and celebrated as the annual Urs every year and the celebration is attainted by people all over the world notwithstanding their faith and religion. It is fabled that Emperor Akbar also sought the blessings of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at this dargah for his son.

Many people prefer the golden triangle tour to visit here as the city is connected to places like Delhi, Agra, Ahmedabad, Abu, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaipur through highways. Golden triangular tour mainly covers three places. Tourist can reach here via train or Luxury bus.
