* The first thing that you have to do is to take measurements of the window frame that is going to hold the solar shade. Simply measure the length and height of the of the window and make a note of it in a paper.
* Now measure the width of the corner clips for the Solar ...
... Shades. Usually the clip sizes are ½ and ¾ inch. Simply, consider twice of this number and subtract it from the window frame measurements. This will help you get the exact measurements for the clip to cut for the frame, considering the corner clips.
* Cut down the sides of the solar shade frame to the appropriate measurements. After cutting the screen, you will have four pieces for left side, right side, top and bottom. You can use a hacksaw with metal cutting blade to get the best results. You can smoothen the edges of the frame with a file to remove the burrs.
* Bring together the frame by connecting the pieces together with the corner clips and put the frame in the window, but make sure it fits perfectly in the window.
* Now, place the solar screen on the leveled surface with the channel at the rear of the frame pointing in the upward direction. Now, uncover the mesh window screen over the frame, but make sure that it overlaps every side of the frame by about an inch.
* Now press the rounded spline inside the channel at the corner of the shade using blade screwdriver or needle. Use the spline roller to press the spline around the edge of the frame.
* At the last, trim off an extra spline and mash using knife or blade.

However, it requires one to be more accurate and focused while cutting the sides of the screen in order to get perfectly fitted Solar Shades. But, make sure you all the equipments to cut the screen in a careful way to avoid any safety hazards or get yourself hurt through blade or knife.
