Launch a free app but only with advertising – This strategy is safer for software developers to follow as it allows them to make money from displaying the advertisements while the app’s target audience can enjoy the software’s features without paying a price for downloading them. Generally, this category of apps comes with advertisements for their entire lifecycle. Mobile market researchers are of the opinion that advertisements may not appeal to a large section of mobile users, and this is why the features and functionality of this category of apps must be well researched and very engaging in order to sustain the interest levels of the audience for a longer period of time. The ads must also be attractive and interesting so that users may click on them and assist the developer to monetize his/her project.
