A number of our neighbours have had a Solar panel fitted to their properties, one has even fitted a wind turbine on their land and they’ve certainly been bitted by the renewable energy bug. We haven’t invested in energy-saving measures as such but have seriously been considering a Solar panel lately. Our next door neighbor is always singing the praises of their Solar panel they don’t brag they are just enthusiastic about green energy. I can’t say I blame them, from what they have been telling me their Solar panel sounds like the best thing since sliced bread and it would appear it’s a brilliant investment if you consider this type of eco-friendly technology.
I like to think of myself as being a pretty shrewd person and if I was going to invest in a Solar panel or a wind turbine for that matter I’d like to found out as much as I possibly could about this type of technology. For starters, I’d look at the function of a Solar panel, how it worked and what benefits it had for my home. A solar panel draws energy from the sun, this energy is converted into natural power that can be used to heat or light the home. ...
... You can store up energy from the sun during the daytime using a Solar panel and use that later on at night. A solar panel harvests the natural light from the sun much in the same way that wind turbine stores energy from the wind.
Okay, I might know how a Solar panel and a wind turbine work but what advantages will they have for my home? The really obvious advantage is a Solar panel saves tons of energy, you generate your own power and you are less reliant on utility companies. Plus you can make money out of a Solar panel, special feed-in tariffs will actually pay you an income for every unit of energy you create and any excess you don’t require can be sold back to the grid. It’s hard not to be impressed by the merits of solar energy and I have a sneaky suspicion that it won’t be long until our property has a panel on the roof that harvests natural energy from the sun.
