Android Application developer in India and across the globe get newer opportunities with every time Google releases a new version of Android OS with the latest being the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. And we are once again eagerly waiting for the new Android 5.0 release which is expected to be announced in the mid of May this year. This new Android 5.0 is likely to be called Key Lime Pie but so far, there has been no official announcement from Google.

So, till we hear anything official, let’s try and find out from the latest rumours what is there in the new version:

Who will Be the Nexus Partner: Sony or Motorola?

There are lots of speculations as to which would be the benchmark site to run the new Key Lime Pie; it is rumoured that the first sighting of Android 5.0 would be on a Sony smartphone and this sounds realistic as previously there has been speculations of Sony being in line to produce the next Nexus phone.

... Android partners. But it has been speculated that Motorola's rumoured X Phone with a big, 5-inch display will be unveiled featuring Key Lime Pie during Google IO.

What Would be the Official Android 5.0 Release Date?

It is very likely that Google will announce the new release of the Key Lime Pie in the month of May 2013, during its developer conference as it announced 4.1 Jelly Bean during the same event last year. According to leaked news, Android 5.0 is likely to break cover between April and June 2013 which seems quite likely.

Android 5.0 Expected Features:

Since the Key Lime Pie mobile OS has not officially been released, there are speculations about the features also and some of the most likely features are the performance profiles like Gaming Mode, Smart Actions, Low Power State for the nights, etc.; Support for the multiple devices; video chat application; improved social network support; Line-drawing text input options; multi-select contact option; and the likes. These are only speculations and nothing more. But, some of the features are very likely be introduced in the latest release as some of them are already introduced by some of the Smartphone brands and only support or integration is required.

With the new features introduced, the smart Android Application developers India spread across the globe would start inventing new Android apps translating newer ideas into awe-inspiring apps. And we will have a whole new range of new Android apps!
