While many RC enthusiasts consider radio-controlled (RC) helicopters to be the most difficult aircraft to fly, there are ways to reduce the difficulties you may face as a novice pilot. For example, if your aircraft veers left during a balanced hover, slide the aileron trim to the right in small increments until the helicopter tracks straight.

Adjust the throttle trim -- positioned vertically on the transmitter (to the right of the power button) -- by sliding it up or down. Reduce you aircraft's throttle trim to correct an idle setting that is too high, or increase it if it's too low. The throttle trim controls the neutral setting, which means how quickly the rotors spin when the throttle joystick is centered.
