Amidst chaos, there is life. In fact, life itself is chaotic. Mumbai is a great place to realize it. The whole world salutes the undying spirit of Mumbaikars who stand tall in humanity and resilience after every onslaught on its daily life. The onslaughts have been very real, so it makes sense to be aware of them before you travel to the capital of Maharashtra. This place is full of spirit and is often called the insomniac city of India. It is the centre of India's Bollywood film industry. The city has a reasonably old history as a business centre and over the years it has stayed aligned with its character. Most people travel here for business purposes, but there are many who visit Mumbai as tourists. Reaching here is understandably quite easy as the city is well connected by air, rail and roads to rest of the country.

Staying at the metropolis

The metropolis is the wealthiest city of India with the highest GDP. The city is also one of the most populous places to live. Understandably, the city asks for rates higher than average for accommodation. Mumbai hotels ...
... are costlier than the rest of India. Budget hotels are scarce, and interspersed throughout this big city. Therefore, it makes sense to book hotels in advance before you reach this city. It is no surprise that Mumbai hotels can be booked by the internet as well.

Visiting in and around

Besides the landmark India Gate, there are some very good museums to visit. These are the Bombay Natural History Museum, the Chhatrapati Shivaji museum, the Gandhi museum, and the Prince of Wales museum. There are also the adjacent Ajanta Caves which is a huge attraction for tourists from all over India and the World. You can also visit the Mumbai Devi temple, the presiding deity of this city. Visiting from Mumbai to Pune is a great idea as well. Pune has some good sightseeing places including a temple for the God of the Underworld, Pataleshwar. Mumbai to Pune is a popular trip taken by many tourists who also want to view the scenic places near Pune.
