Seek Divine Blessings In Hajj To Mecca
Hajj the Pilgrimage to Makkah is the fifth pillar of Islam. The Prophet (s.a.w., sallallahu' alayhi wa sallam) had said that Islam has been erected upon five things: announcing that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; the formation of salaah (five obligatory daily prayers; the compensation of zakaah (compulsory donations); the Hajj (pilgrimage to the House of Allah, if one is capable); and period of Ramadan (fasting in the month of Ramadan).
This final pillar of Islam is compulsory, at least once in a lifespan, for all sound Muslims, who attain the age of adolescence, and are physically and monetarily capable to complete the journey.
Every year, about 3 million people from every nook of our planet visit on a two-week Hajj to Mecca pilgrimage in Hajj groups in Saudi Arabia, where their journey (known in Arabic as the hajj) will conclude itself at Islam’s divinest place in the main center of the Muslim world.
For several million of Muslims planning for the pilgrimage, whose cultural multiplicity comprises ...
... of old Pakistani men, Indonesian tots, young American women, Syrian couples, Sudanese mothers and Bosnian fathers, the pilgrimage signifies the divine pinnacle of their lifespans. The yearly meeting in Mecca also happens in one of the biggest regular human gatherings anywhere witnessed on the surface of the earth every year.
The pre-historic rites of hajj to Mecca have been entrenched down through the archives of Islamic history. It aids as an endless reminder of our humanity and its intrinsic frailty. The diverse rites of hajj epitomize the dilemmas of our cherished prophets over the eras.
During hajj, every Muslim’s dedicated desires are to re-ordain the experiences of the Prophet Abraham. It also embodies the teachings imparted by Abraham’s son Ishmael, whose example of respect and obedience cannot be repeated by any breathing being. And the last Prophet Muhammad, who resolutely stood on the prairies of Arafat and announced the accomplishment of his mission and preached the fairness of all humankind during the last Friday oration of his lifespan.
Certainly the humblest, yet most insightful message of hajj is the notion of the equality of all manhood.During the hajj, there is no dominance based on race, socio-economic position or gender. Islam instills that a person only outshines over another in their piousness and great actions. As most Muslims are aware, there is never more fairness within the Muslim world other than during the hajj. There are hajj groups where leaders and poor people, sultans and street sweepers, all protected in the old-style white clothing; appeal for the forgiveness of Allah as they stand by side, equal and chastened in the eyes of their God.
