No matter where you go, there are restaurants, coffee shops and various other retailers whose employees are easily identifiable by their employee uniform, which is often some form of t-shirt. Brightly colored t-shirts are some of the most popular uniforms because they allow customers to instantly differentiate who works at the establishment from other customers, especially in summer months when most people prefer the comfort of a nicely constructed cotton tee.

It's safe to say that t-shirts are some of the most efficient pieces of clothing when it comes to getting the work done. Cotton is one of the most comfortable fabrics in existence because it stretches, it breathes, and it tends to wash very well time after time. Cotton is also one of the least expensive fabrics that takes well to many kinds of inks, dyes, piping, and various other decorative materials which can be applied to it.

Getting the job done can be a rather dirty work, even if it's a restaurant. Food handlers and food preparers alike are constantly in water and dealing with the serving and mixing of condiments, meats, vegetables and other types of ...
... food sometimes through an entire shift of 8 hours or more. This type of work requires clothing that is durable and can withstand the repeated use over the long haul. The t shirt is the perfect companion and highest ranking choice of employers who provide uniforms that must be worn five or more days a week.

Even for outdoor work such as construction, although a bare, tanned, muscular chest may be preferred by some passersby, many construction sites do not allow workers to perform most tasks without wearing some sort of shirt. T-shirts are the least expensive way to have a sufficient supply on hand, in other colors if you like, to accommodate frequent changes for the sweaty outdoor work that is a major part of summer construction jobs; especially new construction. Construction management firms often provide custom t-shirts for their works, particularly when there are various contractors and vendors all on the same site.

Restaurants and construction sites aren't the only types of jobs that give your clothing a good work out. Many indoor and outdoor jobs at home such as cutting the lawn, gardening, washing the car or cleaning the house can leave your clothing dusty, dirty, greasy and grass stained. Fortunately, t-shirts stand up to these sorts of jobs and with some laundry detergent and a little stain remover for stubborn dirt scenarios, your clothing comes out of the dryer looking like new and ready to take on the next job.

Work is a regular part of our daily lives. Many jobs require manual labor that takes not only a great deal of brawn but a sturdy shirt to stand up to what we're doing. T-shirts provide inexpensive quality in a soft material that's a comfort to wear next to your skin for every season of the year whether it's hot or cold or somewhere in between.
